Bruce Klepper studied music composition in the 1970’s and received a degree in music composition and theory. Bruce wrote music for many years but decided never to make a career of it. In the late 1980’s Bruce founded a tech company specializing in providing computerized business systems for retailers. In 2014, Bruce sold his company so he could devote himself to his true passion, composing music.
In 2016, Bruce was introduced to Marie-Jose Payannet from Danse Etoile and started writing ballet and contemporary dance music for her company. Danse Etoile is dedicated to producing wonderful artistic performances, programs, and instruction, making ballet accessible to people of all ages.
In addition to the many ballets Bruce has written music for, Bruce’s music can be heard on SoundCloud, with over 1,200 followers and over 56,000 listens worldwide. He has collaborated with other musicians around the world and worked with professional vocalists in the US and Internationally. Bruce’s music has also been used for short films and marketing videos for choreography centers. Bruce is currently developing relationships with ballet companies worldwide for the use of his original music.
As Bruce puts it: “the greatest satisfaction I receive today is having dancers of all ages come up to me after a performance telling me how much they love my music and how they dance and practice every day to the music. I hope to have ballet schools worldwide use my music and leave a legacy of children dancing to my music, uplifting and making their lives richer and happier through music.”
